My grandson bought me the Galaxy S4 so I can read my stories without having to scroll up and down with my fingers. I'm having some trouble getting it to work. He said all I have to do is tilt my head to scroll, but it doesn't seem work, or it only works sometimes.

This guy covers both Smart Scroll and Smart Pause. Smart Pause pauses a video or movie when you turn away from your device. He covers Smart Scroll at the 4:20 mark. Hope this is helpful.

Change your settings to "Tilting head"

You probably have Smart Scroll set to work while tilting the device, not your head. Go to the Settings menu, tap My device, tap Smart Screen and make sure that the Smart Scroll slider is in the ON position. Tap Smart Scroll again to access the options and select "Tilting head".

This should allow the device to lock onto your eyes when you're reading. You will know it's locked on when an eye icon blinks on your screen. You can now tilt your head up or down to scroll web pages while you read.
