Verizon approved the Android 4.0 update for the Droid 4 on Monday. The carrier also published the complete changelog, and is expected to begin the soak test sometime today. Besides the upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich, the update will bring better quality pictures, global roaming capabilities, a remote diagnostics tool, plus other improvements and fixes. Android 4.0 will add new features like Face Unlock and improved multi-tasking.

The update should begin rolling out in a few days If today's soak test is successful. You can either wait to be notified, or check for the OTA download by navigating to Menu Key > Settings > About phone > System updates > Download.
The 364.1MB Android 4.0.4 update will take the software build number to 6.16.217.
