Early complaints about the Toshiba Thrive tablet are starting to pileup on various tech forums. It seems some owners are having trouble getting their tablet to wake up from sleep mode, and others are claiming that the device is turning itself on when not in use.
A thread on the official Toshiba discussion forum offers a variety of user suggested fixes, but none of them seem to be solving the problem. It's unclear if this is just an easy firmware fix or just a few isolated incidents. We will have to wait until Monday to see if Toshiba responds to the complaints.
"I'm experiencing a problem with the tablet's sleep mode. Sometimes, after a sleep mode of 15 minutes or more, I am not able to wake up the screen with a power-button quick press. I literally have to depress the power button until the tablet completely powers/shuts off and then depress the power button again to start up the tablet."
