Sprint has announced that LG Viper pre-orders will begin on Thursday, April 12. This is the first 4G LTE device with eco-friendly features to be offered by the carrier. The LG Viper will be available later this month from all Sprint sales channels, Best Buy and RadioShack for $99.99 (with a new two-year service agreement and $50 mail-in rebate).

The LG Viper features a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, mobile hotspot capabilities and a 4GB card microSD slot that supports up to 32GB. It ships with Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The eco-friendly features include being ULE Platinum Certified, being made of 50 percent recycled plastic and shipping in 100 percent recyclable packaging.
Other features include a 5MP rear-facing camera with flash and VGA front-facing camera. Sprint is also offering mobile ID packs which allow users to easily purchase app, ringer, wallpaper and widget packages.
