Report: Samsung Galaxy S III to be Thinner, Possible May Launch?

A new report from Korea’s Electronic Times News claims that the Samsung Galaxy S III will be 7mm thick. That would make it about 1.5mm thinner than its predecessor the Galaxy S II. The report also said Samsung will stick to its normal Galaxy series timeline by releasing the device in May.

The Galaxy S III is rumored to feature an 8MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera, a Super AMOLED Plus display, and Android 4.0. Other rumors have suggested that it will be 4G LTE capable and be powered by a quad-core CPU.

UPDATE: Samsung has just announced a press event in France for March 22nd. No international passes have been sent out, so it could be a regional product launch, or something related to the Samsung's Google TV project. -- via Phandroid.
