It only took a few days for Team Win to discover an exploit that allowed them to root the EVO. The exploit isn't available just yet, but should be very soon. You can check the link below for upcoming download links.
The new exploit is for both pre and post OTA EVO devices. A modded version of the EVO has just made it one of the better Android smartphones released this year.
The HTC EVO was released on June 24. Its glasses free 3D technology and pre-installed app removal option made it one of the most sought after Android devices this summer. It features a 1.2 GHz Dual-core processor, HTC Sense, a 5-megapixel color camera for 3D photos, and a 5-megapixel color camera with auto focus for 2D.
The HTC EVO 3D is $200 with a 2/year contract.
