All US Phones Will Get Android 2.1 Update

Reports have surfaced that all US-based smartphones running the Android operating system will receive the latest 2.1 update. The software should be released over the next few months for all hardware models currently in use.

Android 2.1 update

Some models will not support all features of the OS upgrade. In fact, in some cases users will have to completely wipe the old operating system to update their devices. As long as contacts and media files are backed up they can be restored.

The update to Android 2.1 will either come over the air or as a tethered update, with some phones requiring a PC connection. The myTouch 3G and the Google Nexus One are first in line for the 2.1 update, although Droid owners have been waiting anxiously for the OS update on their devices.

Android 2.1 has many enhancements including animated wallpapers, better text-to-speech support, and improved widgets.

Many handset owners seeing the OS jump from older versions like Donut (1.6) to Eclair (2.0 / 2.1) will see some or all of the following improvements:

- Optimized hardware speed
- Support for more screen sizes and resolutions
- Revamped UI
- New browser UI and HTML5 support
- New contact lists
- Better white/black ratio for backgrounds
- Improved Google Maps 3.1.2
- Microsoft Exchange support
- Built in flash support for Camera
- Digital Zoom
- Improved virtual keyboard
- Bluetooth 2.1
- Live Wallpapers

Google has yet to officially announce details regarding the multiple-device Android 2.1 update.

We may have to get an iPhone, motorola is good though.There is yet another model of the iPhone coming out. Alright possibly I should say there is an iPhone prototype possibly soon to be the next iPhone4.0. As though our smart phones couldn't do enough, they're always looking for more for them to do. The prototype that was found in a bar, that’s right I said a bar, is said to have a camera on the front of the phone as well as in the back. It is said to have a longer battery life, better SIM card, and two microphones! Perhaps soon they'll come out with an iPhone that can even babysit for me, since I'm sure that price of the phone is going to equal 6 months day care costs and that’s just when the next model will come out.

I have been all of the world recently looking for a new job. I really enjoy traveling in airplanes generally, and usually do for each conference. Road trips can also be nice to go and check out different job opportunities depending on how far you have to drive.
